What can you expect from your massage treatment?
Please arrive 15 minutes early to your first appointment. Upon your arrival, you will fill out a brief intake form which we will review together. We will discuss any concerns you may have and talk about the type of treatment you are seeking that day.
Although the treatment room has a professional atmosphere where universal precautions are practiced, it is also a tranquil, healing space. Your comfort is my priority, so during your treatment please let me know if you are in need of an extra blanket, or if heat packs are too warm.
Your time during the treatment is indeed that, your time. For a full body massage you may undress to your level of comfort. You are draped with a sheet at all times except for the area being worked. A lightly scented oil or creme may be used as well as heat packs if needed. You are in control of the amount of pressure applied. You decide if it's too much or not enough.
Although talking is not very conducive to massage, please let me know if you are uncomfortable or if we find an area that is particularly sensitive.
